For these purposes, a specific questionnaire was created with the purpose of listing and reporting on national legislation and policies that are in effect in each country, regulating health care for immigrants either as a whole or as one or more of the following specific groups: 1) regular immigrants, 2) irregular immigrants, 3) asylum seekers, 4) refugees, and 5) victims of human being trafficking. Where possible, legal provisions regulating health care for immigrants were considered among the three mainstreams identified in the project: primary care, emergency care, chronic care.
On this page you may search the EUGATE Legislation and Policies database through a series of structured queries:
- EU DIRECTIVES - Starting from a defined EC Directive, you may visualize the main issues being dealt with in the directive and the specific legislation of adoption for each participating Country.
- SECTIONS - Selecting a section, you may see the characteristics of healthcare provision in each participating Country.
- ANNEXES - Selecting one of the 16 participating countries, you may visualize all relevant documents and informations related to one or more section, depending on year of publication and type of document (Legislation/Policy). You may also visualize the date on which the questionnaire was completed, and which were the sources of information used.
